Okay, but why does God’s “silence” always seem to happen right when I’ve decided I need a 47-step explanation, three signs, a confirmation verse, and preferably an angel with a PowerPoint? 😂Seriously though, I’ve had moments where I thought God wasn’t answering me, and later realized the answer had already been sitting there—I just didn’t like it enough to recognize it as an answer. Sometimes I think I’m praying, “God, show me what You want me to do,” while secretly adding, “…and please make sure it’s what I want to do.” 😭 That’s probably the harder part of silence for me. Do I actually trust God, or do I trust God when I can see what He’s doing? I’m still working on that one. But I’ve definitely learned this: quiet doesn’t automatically mean absent. Also, if God ever does send the angel with the PowerPoint, I would greatly appreciate bullet points. 😂

Okay, so both of y’all really woke up and decided to preach today. 😂But seriously, I think this is where a lot of people get stuck.
We start treating Christianity like there’s some invisible entrance exam.
Meanwhile, God already knows we’re confused. 😂
I think sometimes we’re standing there trying to give God the edited version of ourselves when He already has the uncut footage.
The stuff we’re embarrassed about.
The prayers that basically sound like, Lord… I have no idea what is happening.”
That doesn’t mean following Jesus is just “come exactly as you are and never change.” Christ absolutely changes us.
But you come to Him first. You don’t clean the fish before you catch it. 😭
And I really like what José said about not turning Christianity into another label. Because if all I have is “Christian” written in my bio but Christ has no influence over how I actually live, then I basically just gave myself a religious username. Following Jesus is relationship, but relationships take time.
You occasionally have a dramatic spiritual crisis at 2:17 in the morning.
Then you get up and keep seeking Him. 😂
So if somebody reading this doesn’t know where they fit yet, I wouldn’t obsess over having the perfect label.
Start with Jesus.Ask uncomfortable questions.Learn His character. Just don’t ask Him to lead you and then act shocked when He starts rearranging the furniture. 😂That’s usually how growth works.
